Investigation of ESD Prevention for Deshunted GMR Heads
نویسندگان
چکیده
The electrostatic discharge (ESD) effect in GMR heads in the deshunting process is studied in order to prevent the damage in this process. The simulation and experiment results are investigated and compared. It is found from these results that sequences of deshunting process, currently operating, can cause the damage of GMR heads due to the ESD effect, based on the charged device model, CDM. This also shows that the voltage across GMR head, as the tweezers is used, can be raised up to ∼3.7 V which is about harmful to damage the head. Examples of damage heads confirmed by the SEM are also shown. key words: electrostatic discharge, deshunting, recording head

Investigation of the Entrance Surface Dose and Dose to Different Organs in Lumbar Spine Imaging
Background: Dose assessment using proper dosimeters is especially important in radiation protection optimization and imaging justification in diagnostic radiology. Objective: The aim of this study is to obtain the Entrance Skin Dose (ESD) of patients undergoing lumbar spine imaging using two thermoluminescence dosimeters TLD-100 (LiF: Mg, Ti) and GR-200 (LiF: Mg, Cu, P) and also to obtain the ab...

Endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) is reported to be an efficient treatment with a high rate of en bloc resection for large colorectal tumors in Japan and some other Western and Asian countries. ESD is considered less invasive than laparoscopic colectomy. However, ESD carries a higher risk of perforation than endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR). Various devices and training methods for color...
متن کاملNone-endoscopic Screening for Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma- A Review
Esophageal cancer (EC) is the eighth most common cancer and sixth most frequent cause of cancer mortality worldwide. Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) is the most common type of EC. ESCC develops by progression from premalignant lesions, which are called esophageal squamous dysplasia (ESD). Prevention is the most effective strategy for controlling this disease. Generally, two methods ma...
متن کاملSquamous dysplasia--the precursor lesion for esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) accounts for 80% of all esophageal cancers worldwide, and esophageal squamous dysplasia (ESD) is the only histopathology that predicts the development of ESCC. The prevalence of ESD parallels rates of invasive ESCC and is typically found in 25% or more of adults above the age of 35 years in populations in north central China, where risk for ESCC is amon...
متن کاملPretreatment Gastric Lavage Reduces Postoperative Bleeding after Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection for Gastric Neoplasms
AIM For patients receiving endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), there is urgent need pertaining to the prevention of postoperative bleeding. We conducted a retrospective propensity score-matched study that evaluated whether pre-ESD gastric lavage prevents postoperative bleeding after ESD for gastric neoplasms. METHODS From September 2002 to October 2015, the 760 consecutive patients receiv...
